Palladium(II) chloride (PdCl2) is a precious metal, which is widely used in electronics, chemical industry, catalyst, petroleum and other industries. Because of its Scarcity, high value and reusability, the recovery of Palladium(II) chloride has become an important way of resource reuse. However, the traditional recovery method of Palladium(II) chloride has some defects, such as low recovery rate, high cost, environmental pollution and so on. Therefore, it is particularly important to develop an efficient and environmentally friendly Palladium(II) chloride recovery technology.

1、 Technical principle of Palladium(II) chloride recovery

1. The recovery methods of Palladium(II) chloride mainly include physical method, chemical method and electrochemical method. Physical methods mainly include magnetic separation, gravity separation, and air flotation methods; Chemical methods mainly include reduction, displacement, and flotation methods; Electrochemical methods mainly include methods such as electrodeposition, electrolysis, and electrophoresis. These methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and are suitable for different recycling scenarios.

2. Recovery principle The basic principle of Palladium(II) chloride recovery is to separate Palladium(II) chloride from other substances in the waste, and then convert Palladium(II) chloride into metal palladium by corresponding methods. In the separation process, the differences in physical or chemical properties between Palladium(II) chloride and other substances are used to achieve effective separation. In the conversion process, Palladium(II) chloride is reduced to metal palladium by reducing agent, displacement agent or electrochemical method.

2、 New Technology for High Efficiency Recovery of Palladium(II) chloride

Aiming at the defects of existing methods, this paper proposes a new technology for efficient recovery of Palladium(II) chloride, which combines chemical method and electrochemical method to achieve efficient recovery through multi-step treatment process. 1. Pretreatment: The waste is subject to physical treatment such as crushing, grinding and flotation to separate Palladium(II) chloride from other substances as much as possible. Then, concentrated hydrochloric acid is used for acid leaching to dissolve Palladium(II) chloride from the waste to form a solution containing Palladium(II) chloride. 2. Purification: filter and precipitate the solution containing Palladium(II) chloride to remove impurities and suspended solids. Then, chemical precipitation method is used to reduce Palladium(II) chloride in the solution to palladium precipitation by using an appropriate amount of reducing agent (such as Iron(II) sulfate). Then, the precipitate is filtered, washed, and dried to obtain high-purity palladium metal. 3. Electrochemical purification: The purified metal palladium is used as the anode, and the oxygen free copper plate is used as the cathode. The two electrodes are spaced at a certain distance and placed in an electrolytic cell containing an appropriate amount of sodium chloride and sulfuric acid. By applying direct current and utilizing electrochemical principles, the metal palladium on the anode is dissolved, and higher purity metal palladium is deposited on the cathode. Efficient purification of palladium is achieved by controlling conditions such as current density, electrolyte concentration, temperature, and time.

3、 Technical advantages

1. High recovery rate: the technology combines chemical method and electrochemical method, and uses multi-step treatment process to achieve efficient recovery of Palladium(II) chloride, with the recovery rate up to 95%. 2. Low cost: Compared to traditional methods, this technology does not require expensive chemical reagents during the purification process, reducing recovery costs. 3. Environmental protection: This technology adopts closed treatment equipment throughout the entire recycling process, avoiding the discharge of exhaust gas, wastewater, and waste residue, and reducing environmental pollution.

In view of the defects of the existing recovery technology of Palladium(II) chloride, a new and efficient recovery technology of Palladium(II) chloride is proposed in this paper. This technology has the advantages of high recovery rate, low cost, environmental protection, etc., providing a new solution for the Palladium(II) chloride recovery industry. Through practical application verification, this technology has broad application prospects in the industrial field.
