Step 1: Collection & Sorting
Dingfeng partners with auto shops, manufacturers, and scrap dealers to collect bulk spark plugs. Advanced optical sorting systems separate NGK, Denso, and Bosch plugs based on metal composition.

Step 2: Dismantling & Crushing
Plugs are fed into automated shredders to remove ceramic insulators. High-pressure crushers isolate metal electrodes (platinum/iridium tips) from steel casings.

Step 3: Metal Extraction

• Chemical Leaching: Electrodes undergo acid baths to dissolve PGMs, followed by electrolysis to precipitate pure metals.

• Pyrometallurgy: High-temperature furnaces melt down nickel alloy shells for reuse in industrial applications.

Step 4: Refining & Certification
Recovered metals are refined to 99.95% purity.
