Indium foil recycling_ Indium sheet recycling price_ Precious metal recycling and refining manufacturers
Indium foil is an extremely thin metal indium sheet made by secondary processing of indium sheet. Indium foil is usually used in ultrasonic linear retardation contactors, neutron production indicators and other ways. Waste indium foil is one of the sources of indium waste recycling. The sources of indium waste recycling also include indium wire recycling, indium sheet recycling, crude indium recycling, refined indium recycling, indium grain recycling, indium bead recycling, indium wire recycling, indium block recycling, etc.

Indium foil is an extremely thin metal indium sheet made by secondary processing of indium sheets. Indium foil is commonly used for methods such as ultrasonic linear blocking contactors and neutron manufacturing indicators. Indium foil is often inserted into a nuclear reactor to control the progress of Nuclear reaction. Indium foil becomes radioactive after reacting with neutrons in the reactor. Its rate of radioactivity can be used as a valuable index parameter for measurement and reaction. A considerable portion of indium foil is used for thermal conductivity, but the thermal conductivity of different qualities of indium foil can vary by several tens of times. The thermal conductivity of indium foil depends on the following three factors:
1. Impurities in indium foil. The higher the purity of indium foil, the better its thermal conductivity. The purity of indium ingot reaches 4N5. However, because the control degree of each impurity element is different, to ensure the purity of 4N5, the total amount of impurity elements must be less than 50PPM. Through our experiments, we found that the content of two impurity elements has a great impact on the thermal conductivity of indium. If the content of these two impurities is not well controlled, although the purity is 4N5, But the thermal conductivity is much worse than that of 4N3.
2. Surface oxidation degree. The oxide layer on the surface of indium foil blocks the conduction of electricity and heat. The thicker the oxide layer, the greater the blocking ability.
3. Degree of grain refinement. The mechanical and thermal properties of general metals in single crystal state are much higher than those in polycrystalline state. Therefore, refining the grain size of indium foil can significantly improve its thermal conductivity. Our experiments have found that the thermal conductivity of refined indium foil is more than 10 times that of unrefined indium foil.
