Silver nitrate recovery_ Silver catalyst recovery_ Precious metal recycling manufacturers
Silver nitrate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula AgNO3. Silver nitrate is a colorless crystal that appears transparent or white at room temperature and is highly corrosive and oxidizing. Waste silver nitrate is also one of the sources of silver-containing precious metal catalyst waste recycling. Silver-containing precious metal catalyst recycling also includes silver oxide recycling, silver sulfide recycling, silver acetate recycling, silver chloride recycling, silver bromide recycling, silver iodide recycling, silver sulfate recycling, etc.

Silver nitrate is a Inorganic compound with the chemical formula of AgNO3. Silver nitrate is a colorless crystal, which presents a transparent or white appearance at room temperature, and has strong corrosivity and oxidation. Silver nitrate is widely used in many fields, such as photography, electronic industry, medicine and chemical laboratory.
There are many methods to prepare Silver nitrate, and two commonly used methods are described in detail below:
1. One of the preparation methods of Silver nitrate is the reaction of silver with dilute nitric acid. The specific steps are as follows: (1) Firstly, prepare the necessary materials and equipment, including silver powder or silver foil, dilute nitric acid, glass containers, and heating equipment. (2) Add a certain amount of silver powder or silver foil to a glass container. (3) Slowly add dilute nitric acid into the container, while stirring the mixture with a Glass rod. (4) Bubble release and solution changes were observed in the mixture. This is because silver reacts with nitric acid to form oxygen and Silver nitrate. (5) Continue heating the mixture until the solution becomes transparent and all silver reacts completely. (6) Turn off the heating equipment and allow the solution to cool. (7) When the solution cools, Silver nitrate will crystallize. Crystals can be separated by filtration or centrifugation. (8) Wash the separated Silver nitrate crystal with cold water to remove impurities and dry it.
2. Another method to prepare Silver nitrate is to react Copper(II) nitrate with Silver chloride. The specific steps are as follows: (1) Prepare the required materials and equipment, including Copper(II) nitrate, Silver chloride, water, alcohol and glass containers. (2) Add a certain amount of Copper(II) nitrate into the glass container, and add an appropriate amount of water to dissolve it. (3) Gradually add Silver chloride into the solution and stir with a Glass rod. (4) The mixture will react and produce precipitation. This is a sign of the formation of Silver nitrate. (5) Continue to stir the mixture to ensure that all Silver chloride reacts completely. (6) The mixture was filtered to separate the formed Silver nitrate precipitate. (7) Wash Silver nitrate precipitation with alcohol to remove impurities. (8) Dry the washed Silver nitrate precipitation to obtain pure Silver nitrate.
